Youth Leadership Program

[lead] leadership excellence asset development is a 12 module leadership development certification for youth ages 11-16. Are you interested in volunteering in your community?  Want to work on your leadership skills and meet new friends?  The [lead] Program is a 12 module certification program for youth age 11-16 that teaches many leadership skills in a fun and exciting way.  Youth will work on modules such as but not limited to: Program Development, Working in The Community, Teamwork, Communication, Safety and Risk Management.  This certificate is needed to volunteer in children’s camps and programs and looks great on a resume!

Youth Force – Youth Employment Program

Employment and skills training workshops and opportunities for youth aged 15 – 29 years old. If you are interested in program information, skills training, employment or have any questions please contact Mallory at malloryf@kinbridge.ca

Youthforce is a pre-employment and life skills training program that uses community development approaches to engage youth! The program partners with The Region of Waterloo Housing, Carizon, Greenway Chaplin Neighbourhood Association and Langs to provide employment opportunities and skills training in the Region of Waterloo. In 2018, The Ontario Trillium Foundation awarded Kinbridge a 3 year Grow Grant to expand Youthforce into an all ear round skills training and employment readiness program!


Strong Start – Get Ready for School

Get Ready for School™ is a program for preschoolers during the six month period before entering Junior Kindergarten. Over the 44 classes, children build vocabulary, learn letter sounds and practice classroom behaviours. The program is particularly beneficial for children who are learning English as a Second Language or are from a low to middle socio-economic background. The Get Ready for School program is available at 200 Christopher Drive and community centre locations across Waterloo Region. Call 519-624-3855 for registration information.
