At Kinbridge Community Association, we are honored to support newcomers as they build new lives in our community. One success story that stands out is that of a Ukrainian refugee family who came to us seeking support and guidance through our Newcomer Outreach program.
From the moment we met them, this family became an active and vibrant part of Kinbridge. Through our ESL program, they worked hard to improve their language skills while also participating in various programs offered by our Newcomer Outreach team. Their dedication and enthusiasm did not stop there as they soon got involved as volunteers, giving back to the community that welcomed them.
One of the most special moments we shared with them was a memorable trip to Canada’s Wonderland, where they had the chance to relax, have fun, and make lasting memories with new friends.
When it came time to apply for permanent residency, the family reached out to us for support. We were honored to write a reference letter highlighting their valuable contributions as volunteers in our programs. We truly hope for a successful outcome in their residency application and could not be prouder to have been part of their journey.
Through the Newcomer Outreach program, we strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all newcomers, helping them feel at home while building brighter futures. This family’s journey is a powerful reminder of the impact that community connections and support can have.
