Newcomer Volunteer Appreciation Night: Celebrating Dedication and Community Spirit
At Kinbridge Community Association, we are incredibly proud of the many newcomer youth who have joined us over the past year. Their dedication to supporting various events and initiatives has not only strengthened our community but has also given them valuable opportunities to connect, learn, and build lasting relationships, especially with Rose, our amazing Volunteer Coordinator.
To recognize and celebrate their hard work, we recently hosted a Newcomer Volunteer Appreciation Night. The event was filled with food, games, prizes, and even a friendly basketball match. It was a joyful gathering that brought our community together and highlighted the positive impact these youth have made through their volunteering efforts.
Since arriving in Canada, these young volunteers have truly stepped up to support their new community. Collectively, they have contributed over 800 volunteer hours in the past year alone. Their commitment, enthusiasm, and passion for making a difference are truly inspiring, and we could not be more grateful to have them as part of the Kinbridge family.
